Scope of works
Sir John Deane’s College
Project Description
Following the tender process, we were engaged by the client to provide a changing facility to support the colleges existing 3G pitches. The facility is mainly for college use, but it can be offered as part of the 3G lettings increasing the revenue stream. With 2 changing rooms, home and away, a DDA wet room that can be doubled up as an official’s changing room, the building meets the sports department requirements. The rearming space in the building provides a warm dry storage for DofE equipment. A preferred location was chosen, and following various site meetings, and drawing revisions the final location was agreed. The site was cleared and foundations prepared ready for the building installation, access was tight but with careful planning the building was installed and weather tight in a day. Paths and perimeter finishes were then applied helping the building sit perfectly in its surrounds. This is a perfect example of what can be achieved with Derbybeech flexible manufacturing systems and a collaborative approach.
Client Testimonial
Before we chose Derbybeech as a preferred supplier, they were professional, invested and solution focused from the start. They have been on a design journey with the foundation trust and college being fully engaged all the way. The end result speaks for itself! It is a high quality modular changing room delivered much more affordable than competitors had priced. The delivery process was excellent, and the staff smile as they work. This is an excellent addition to the estate here at the college and look forward to working with Derbybeech on future projects. I would highly recommend Derbybeech for projects that are too expensive to build out of brick but don’t want the portable cabin look! It nested against the beautiful surroundings of the college grounds, cladded and is just perfect. The students have started using this as their home changing rooms over the ones, they had initially which is a testament to Derbybeech.
